Alloy 42
wire mesh/screen is nickel-iron controlled expansion alloys with high magnetic permeability.
Alloy 42 wire mesh/screen has low expansion till 300°C and it matches the expansion of soft glass. Used in lead-in-wires for electronic applications and for the core of Dumet wire (glass sealing part in lead-in-wires for electric lamps). It is used in glass sealing applications in microelectronic components and vacuum devices.
