INVAR IRON NICKEL ALLOY MESH
Invar Alloy mesh/screen is containing iron, nickel and carbon and is expansion alloy.
Invar 36 is a 36% nickel-iron alloy possessing a rate of thermal expansion approximately one-tenth that of carbon steel at temperatures up to 400ºF(204ºC). Invar is a trademark for an iron-nickel alloy containing 35-36% nickel and characterized by an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion (excellent for applications requiring no dimensional changes with temperature variations.) Invar is strong, tough, ductile and possesses a useful degree of corrosion resistance.
Invar 42 is a 41% nickel-iron controlled expansion alloy which has been used in a wide variety of glass-to-
metal sealing applications.
Super Invar 32-5, a magnetic, austenitic, solid solution alloy containing iron, nickel, and cobalt, is designed to provide minimum thermal expansion at room temperatures. This alloy also exhibits austenite stability to service temperature at least -67? and thermal expansion properties less than those of Invar 36 alloy (36% nickel-
iron) when used in the -67/203& deg;F (-55/95?) temperature range.
