The tread rubbers of Tuopu tyres are specially formulated silica compound to reduce cutting and further control heat. In combination with the E-3 tread class a low tread void ratio provided very high heat dissipation rates, important for a bias tyre to survive arduous mining applications. The open tread design provided a high degree of traction in all but the most severe conditions. The improvements are provided by the open design tread pattern with lug platforms to tie the lugs together aiding and improving traction and braking by 25%. With the correct mainataince plans Tuopu bias tyres can achieve high productivity and low cost.
