Woven wire mesh is used in many areas and sectors. For instance as filters and sifts, mosquito screens or fly screens, protection of machines, safety, architecture, decoration, etc.
The weaving of the wire is done on looms, distinguishing three types of weave, plain weave, twill weave and braided weave(Dutch weave). The plain weave is used most.
The mesh of the woven wire mesh can vary from 0.025 to 20 mm, this mesh is usually square but can also be woven in a rectangular shape. The wire diameters vary from 0.025 to 2 mm.
Shengfa uses almost any material available in wire, e.g.:
Stainless Steel AISI 316 (L),904L;Stainless Steel AISI 304 (L),Duplex stainless steel;Galvanised wire;bright steel 37.2,spring steel,Aluminum,brass,bronze,copper,Titanium,Monel,Inconel,Hastelloy etc.
Our weaves are available in roll, or in standard
panels. Other measurements, pieces, discs, or strips can be manufactured according to your requirements.
TYPES OF WOVEN WIRE MESH:
Plain Weave The weft crosses the warp alternately under and over. Both
wires generally have the same diameter.
Twill Weave The weft crosses two warps, which is necessary if the diameter of the wire is relatively large as compared to the mesh. The result is a quite sturdy, but easily transformed
metal weave
Braided weave The weft threads are placed together, so there are small openings. These openings are no longer square. The diameter of the warp threads is larger than that of the weft threads. This is how we get wire
mesh with a retention value up to a few micrometer.
