Sesame Seeds
Sesame seeds are one of the oldest seeds known to mankind. No one is quite sure of its exact origin, however it is known that the Egyptians ground the seed to make flour, the Romans ground the seeds with cumin to make a pastry for bread and the Chinese have been using sesame seeds for the past 5.000 years. Today, sesame plants can be found in Asia, North Africa as well as in Central America.
Sesame Seeds has been enjoyed by humans since the dawn of civilization. It is used in breads, candies, main dishes, as a garnish on pasta and vegetables, and for its oil content. It is extensively used for the application in bakery products such as bread, bread sticks, cookies, candies, pasta, vegetables and curry dishes. Ground Nut
India is one of the largest producers of groundnuts in the world. Indian ground nuts are available in different varieties: Bolds or Runners, Javas or Spanish have a rich nutty flavor, sweet taste, crunchy texture and a relatively longer shelf life. Peanuts from India are better known as HPS Groundnut Kernels.

Rape Seeds
Rapeseed is grown for the production of animal feed, vegetable oil for human consumption, and biodiesel; leading producers include the European Union, Canada, the United States, Australia, China and India. In India, it is grown on 13% of cropped land. According to the United States Department of Agriculture, rapeseed was the third leading source of vegetable oil in the world in 2000, after soybean and oil palm, and also the world's second leading source of protein meal, although only one-fifth of the production of the leading soybean meal.
Soya Bean
Soya nuggets or Soya Chunks or "Bari" is commonly known as the vegetarian meat. It is prepared from defatted Soya flour by the process of extrusion cooking. During the process, the protein in the flour undergoes structural changes and forms a fiber like network. The texturised product on soaking in water, absorbs the same and develops a meat like and chewy characteristics and therefore nuggets are called as vegetarian meat. They are a rich source of protein and among the vegetable proteins they contribute a maximum level of 50% protein.

Sunflower Seeds
Sunflower seeds are more commonly eaten as a healthy snack than as part of a meal. They can also be used as garnishes or ingredients in various recipes. The seeds may be sold as in-shell seeds or dehulled kernels. The seeds can also be sprouted and eaten in salads.
When in-shell seeds are processed, they are first dried. Afterwards, they may also be roasted and/or dusted with salt or flour for preservation of flavor. Dehulling is commonly performed by cracking the hull with one's teeth and spitting it out while keeping the kernel in the mouth and eating it.
Safflower Seeds
Safflower is one of humanity's oldest crops, but is a minor crop today, with about 600,000 MT being produced commercially in more than sixty countries worldwide. India, United States, and Mexico are the leading producers, with Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, China, Argentina and Australia accounting for most of the remainder.
Safflower flowers are occasionally used in cooking as a cheaper substitute for saffron, and are thus sometimes referred to as "bastard saffron." Safflower seed is also used quite commonly as an alternative to sunflower seed in birdfeeders, as squirrels do not like the taste of it.
Niger Seeds
It has yellow, daisy-like flowers, thistle has pink to purple ball-shaped flower heads that consist of many spine-tipped bracts. Niger seed is high in oil and protein contains. The Niger seed is eaten fried, used as a condiment or dried then ground into a powder and mixed with flour etc to make sweet cakes. Linseed is also used to soothe an irritated stomach, intestines, or bladder, and is applied externally for skin inflammation. Niger is an oilseed crop that is produced from Guizotia abyssinica. Niger seed is high in oil and protein content.
