Vehicle Barrier Design
SUN BARRIER is a net-based, energy absorbing system designed to prevent vehicle intrusion. In tests it has successfully stopped a 15,000 lb vehicle at impact speeds exceeding 50 mph.
Vehicle access control can be provided around large perimeters by "daisychaining" the spans together in series. The Barrier1 system is completely self contained with battery backup, and requires only a single 120V, 20amp circuit for power.
This energy absorbing barrier is undamaged after impact and can be reset and returned to service as soon as the vehicle is cleared.
