Product Description

The SOLAS gravity luffing arm type davit is lowering lifeboat and rescue boat depending on the boat self weight, and recovering the life boat and rescue boat through electical boat winch.

The appliance is traditionally the most usually used life-saving and escape system which is safe and reliable.

The davit is manufactured and test under the approval of Classification Society such as CCS, BV, ABD, DNV-GL, RMRS, IRS  in compliance with the requirements of SOLAS & MSC47(66) and MSC48(66).

The davit is a hinged gravity type davit and it lowers the boat on the water by the help of its own weight (gravity davit).

The davit is designed for boarding the boat in stowed position. The boat may be lowered without stopping as turning out and lowering is a continuous movement at a minimum of time-spending.

The boat is turned out and lowered by means of remote control that the crew can release and stop the hand brake of the winch from inside of the boat via wire connection to the brake arm and wire spool on the small drum. Alternatively the crew can operate the hand brake on the deck.

Lashing arrangement for boat can be released manually by using the ship hooks on fore and after lashing.

A permanently mounted motor on the winch is used for hoisting the lifeboat with 2(two) persons and the life/rescue boat with6(six) persons back to the stowed position.

The winch drives and equipped with centrifugal brake, manual lowering brake centrifugal clutch and manual hoisting safety device.

At the same time, the gravity luffing arm type davit meets the following requirements:
