Product Description

Wedge Wire DSM Screen is also referred to stainless steel sieve bend screen, side hill screens, parabolic screens, run down screens, gravity screens. It is a curved concave wedge bar type of stationary screen. The common DSM screen available types are 45°, 60°, 120°, 270°, 300°.A curved screen has greater capacity than a flat screen due to forces exerted as material flows against the curved surface.

All our wedge wire screens can be supplied in standard material of SS304/ SS316/ SS316L. Many other material grades are available on request.

A sieve bend screen consists of a concave curved profile wire screen mounted in a frame with the screen openings perpendicular to the flow. A curved screen has greater capacity than a flat wedge screen due to forces exerted as material flows against the curved surface.

Wedge wire sieve bends are made of stainless steel wedge wires. They are consist of a concave curved profile wire screen, which is inserted into a stainless steel frame. The wedge wire sieve bends are manufactured by wrapping and welding stainless steel V-shaped profile wire and support rods. Then the panel screens are cutting and curved into arc screen. The wedge wire sieve bends have continuous slots, which has efficient filtering performance. Forces exerted as materials flows against the curved surface, curved screen structure has better filtering and greater capacity than the wedge wire screen panel.

The flow details as follow:

Application of Wedge Wire DSM Screen:
The wedge wire sieve bends are mainly used for dewatering, sizing, and wastewater cleanup applications. They can be used in various fields, such as Sewage treatment, Laundry wash water cleanup, Poultry, fish, fruit and vegetable wastewater processing, Mineral processing, Paper production, etc.

Advantage:

1.A "V" shaped profile wire which avoids clogging and ensures an uninterrupted flow.

2.Ladder-like wire welded screens have the features of easy backwashing, last long, safety and reliability as well as low comprehensive cost.

3.Quick filtration

4.Economical solution, also for refurbishing of existing lauter tuns

5.Possible to build-in in existing equipment(custom made)

6.Accurate filter rating

Work Principle:

Sieve bend screen mainly works as fitting panels for rotary screens or vibrating screens. Each unit is designed to suit the specific requirements of the customer. Consisting of a basic outer casing, which can be manufactured in mild steel or stainless steel, each unit incorporates a distribution chamber and feed weir; over which the effluent passes onto the wedge wire panel which is set at right angles to the flow to enable the separating process to commence.

The separated solids collect on the lower half of the screen to drain and compact, they then slide by gravity onto a solids discharge chute.

The extracted liquid passes through the wedge wire into an underflow collecting chamber, with a disposal outlet for either re-circulation or discharge.
