API Spec 5L specifies requirements for the manufacture of two product specification levels (PSL 1 and PSL 2) of seamless steel pipe and welded steel pipes. In the production of API 5L X70 LSAW Steel Pipe, plates of grade X70 are formed by the molding machine into round shape then welded through double-sided submerged arc welding.
