(1) For the front angle, when the graphite is processed with the negative front angle, the cutting edge strength is better, and the impact and friction resistance are better. With the decrease of the absolute value of the negative front angle, the wear area of the back cutting edge has little change, but the overall trend is decreasing. When the graphite is processed with the positive front angle, the cutting edge strength of the cutting tool is weakened with the increase of the front angle, and the wear of the back cutting edge is intensified. When machining with negative rake angle, the cutting resistance is large and the cutting vibration is large. When machining with large positive rake angle, the tool wear is serious and the cutting vibration is large.


(2) If the back angle is larger, the cutting edge strength will be reduced and the wear area of the back face will be larger. When the back angle of the tool is too large, the cutting vibration is strengthened.


(3) When the helix angle and helix angle are small, the cutting edge of all cutting edges cutting into graphite workpiece at the same time has the longest edge length, the largest cutting resistance, and the largest cutting impact force, so the tool wear, milling force and cutting vibration are the largest.
