Applications
1. Chloroaceticacid is used in the manufacture of cellulose ethers (used mainly for drilling muds, detergents, food, and pharmaceuticals), crop protection chemicals, and in the manufacture of glycine, thioglycolicacid, malonicacid, vitamins, sequestering agents (EDTA), glycine, dyes (indigo and derivates), chloroacetylchloride (CAC), surfactants.
