This was the original pouch format and today it still remains the most
used style of pouch. It is the most versatile and least expensive type
of pouch and it can be used in almost any application that doesn't
require the pouch to stand up. It comes in a wide variety of different
laminate structures for a range of applications including hot fill,
retort, fresh chilled and frozen. It can be supplied with zippers and
easy open features including laser scoring that gives a clean tear when
the pack is pulled open. These pouches can be printed with up to 12
colours and can be supplied with a metalized finish.
