Working Theory:
The sand washer is installed at 15°slope, three overflow weir surrounded below the water tube to make up a settling tank, the head of the screw goes into the settling tank , the screw turns and is driven by the electric motor with the reducer, clean water is given by multi-hole plate on the bottom of the settling tank.
This machine has three functions: washing, dehydrating and grading.
Washing: The sand enters into settling tank through feeding box and then rolls and whets under the running screw plates so as to remove the contaminates covered on the sandstones. Meanwhile, it can destroy the water vapor layer covered on sandstones so as to dehydrating. Water from the multi-hole makes a rising flow to take the contamination with lower gravity out of the overflow weir, and to accomplish the process of washing.
Dehydrating: particles with heavier gravity sink to the bottom of the groove beside the bending plates of the bottom groove, the screw plates push the sand up.
Loosen the 4"bolt first during washing, then to open the water pipe, small particles and contaminates will be discharged out of the machine through the scraping opening.
Construction Profile
This series of sand washer includes two kinds: Single Screw and Double Screws. It consists of the following parts (Take Drawing 1 for reference)
Gearing Device: It consists of: electric motor, small and big , v belt and gear reducer.
Gearing reducer (Drawing Two): Speed Ratio: i=44.17. The gear is made of steel column inclined gear after heat treatment. Both ends of the bearing are supported by cone roller bearings.
The material of the main body is QT500-7, the connection parts are lined with δ=0.5mm industrial liner paper, and spread with sealing glue to stop leakage of the reducer. The transmission precision can be assured for the reasonable design and precise producing technology of the gear and the frame of the reducer.
(2) Screw shaft (Drawing 3): Screw diameter D=915mm, Shaft distance: 445mm, Head Quantity Z=1, Screw quantity, n=15.5. Single shaft has a right turn screw, double shaft includes one left turn and one right turn screw, and it is screwed like salvage.
The screw leaf is made of Q235-A,δ=8mm steel board and was pressured by special module and are welded continuously to a hollow shaft. Each screw was made of six fan shaped liner plates; the material of the liner plates is ZG Mn 13 which is durable and has excellent persistent capacity. When they are worn and can not be used any longer, reverse the liner plates with new ones. Screw liner plates are connected with the screw by bolts, nuts and gasket rings. They are installed at the moving side and are overlapped with the screw to protect the screw. The material of the hollow shaft is Ф219×15 steel tube to make sure it is strong enough when in operation. Both ends are being welded with flanges, and being connected with linker and bottom bearing. This structure can fully meet the requirements for sand washing, grading and dehydrating.
(3) The bottom bearing (Drawing 4): the bottom end of the screw shaft is below the horizontal line and is supported by the bottom bearing. The whole screw force is bore by the roller bearing of the gear reducer. The bottom bearing does not bear any screw force and is being installed outside of the groove.
The short shaft is connected with the screw shaft. When in working, the short shaft turns in the soft rubber sealed circle. The gasket ring can work well even after long term use of bottom bearing.
When the rubber ring is worn, it can be turned by the inner hydraulic pressure to offer a new sealing surface.
(4) Water groove: It includes the water groove, left and right overflow weir and feeding hopper.
The water groove is made of steel board by welding technology to form a staunch structure. The left and right overflow weirs and the feeding hopper are connected with the groove body by bolts, nuts and gasket washer. The left and right overflow weirs are sealed with the groove byδ=0.5mm rubber plates
Install one bending board at each end of the water groove to leave a distinct clearance between the bottom groove and the edge of the liner plates so as to make the particles be pushed by the screw liner plates smoothly. On the other side is a water channel to exhaust water discharged from the sandstone. This design makes the discharged water exhausted by the side of the groove rather than exhausted at the back particle opening.
The overflow weir can be adjusted. Exalting one or two of the overflow weirs can shorten the efficient length of the weir. Adjusting the speed of cleaning water can enlarge the water input and the speed so as to remove the fineness materials as grading requires.
The overflow weir can also offer balance induced by assembling and installation errors.
Sandstone needs to be washed enters the sand washer through the feeding hopper. The inner and outer ward boards can efficiently control the material flow, and reduce the speed of the flow. The right installation of the feeding hopper can assure the even feeding of sand washer so as to keep the fine materials.
