AFor longitudinal strip tests, the width of the gage section shall be 1 in. (25.4mm) and a deduction of 1.75 percentage points for austeniticc grades and 1.0 percentage points for MT 429 and MT 430 shall be permitted from the basic minimum elongation for each 1/32-in. (0.79-mm) decrease in wall thickness below 5/16 in. (7.94mm).
