Infrared: is one of several ways to accomplish radiation heating along with ultraviolet, microwave, radio frequency, and induction. Infrared heat is generated by a hot source (quartz tube or ceramic element) by vibration and rotation of molecules. The resulting energy is controlled and directed specifically to and on people and objects. This energy is not absorbed by air and does not create heat until it is absorbed by an opaque object. The sun is a source of infrared energy traveling at the speed of light and converting to heat upon contact with the ground, people, buildings floors and any other opaque objects. There is however no ultraviolet component (sun tanning rays) in electric infrared.

Electric infrared energy travels in straight lines from the heat source and difuses as a function of the square of the distance. Intensity would therefore decrease in a proportional manner.

In the electromagnetic spectrum infrared radiation occupies a wave region of considerable width and therefore has been further split into three sub regions as follows:

Near infrared region - short wave                        0.75-1.5 um

Intermediate infrared region - medium wave         2.6-3.5 um

Far infrared region - long wave                            1.4-2.6 um

Infrared Medium Wave heater is especially suit for the heating for object surface or thin material, and plastic ,water and water based materials can get the best heating effect with medium wave heater.

With this kind of heating elements, we can heat the material up to a certain temperature with shorter time and use less time for the whole production process as the drying speed is faster. And what's more, it can also save energy with a lower power output.

1.Why reflector/coating

1. All of our emitters can be coated with a layer of gold or ceramic as reflectors. The gold/ ceramic coating can concentrate the heat, increasing the effectiveness of the heat output. 
2. The emitters with coating are highly economical, converting practically all the consumed electrical power into heat.

For the emitters with high watt density or the surface temperature of the tube above 800°C , we suggest to use ceramic coating as reflector because the temperature resistance is up to 1000°C 

In addition to 180° (half-tube) coating, we also manufacture 270° coating or other customer specified degrees.

Hefei Quickly Electric Co.,LTD specifies tungsten filament Infrared halogen lamps in most of its heaters. The Halogen Cycle increases the life of the lamp. Halogen gas is added to the inert gas in the lamp. As the heater operates, tungsten slowly evaporates from the filament and combines with the halogen to create a tungsten halide. As the tungsten halide touches the filament, the heat separates the halide into tungsten and halogen gas and re-deposits the tungsten back on the filament. The freed halogen gas then repeats the process.
