Borosilicate Glass Weighting Bottles

Weighing bottle is a common laboratory glassware made of borosilicate glass 3.3, which is generally used to accurately weigh a certain amount of solid. Small glass containers for accurate weighing and analysis of specimens. Generally cylindrical, with a ground-in tightly closed glass stopper, used to weigh a sample by subtraction. Because of the ground-in stopper, it can prevent the sample in the bottle from absorbing moisture and CO2 in the air. It is suitable for weighing the sample which is easy to absorb moisture. The specification of bottle is expressed by diameter×height of bottle (mm), which can be divided into two shapes: low shape and tall shape. The height of low shape bottles have 30 mm and 40 mm, and the height of tall shape bottles varies from 15 mm to 40 mm. low shape is used for measuring moisture or drying in oven,tall shape is used for weighing reference material and sample.

Attention:

1. The stopper of the weighing bottle is matched by a grinding edge. It must not be lost or disturbed. The weighing bottle should be washed and dried before use. When not in use, it should be washed. A small paper should be padded at the grinding edge to facilitate the opening of the lid.

2. Weighing bottles are mainly used to weigh samples of certain quality in analytical balance, and also to dry samples. Weighing bottles should be washed, dried and stored in a dryer for use at any time. The weighing bottle cant be heated directly by fire, the stopper cant be exchanged, and cant be taken directly by hand when weighing. It should be equipped with finger covers or padding with clean paper strips.

3.The weighing bottle should not be covered tightly with the grinding stopper to bake. The grinding stopper should be matched with the original one.
