Introduction

 

UWC4800 is a general 8 axis controller, using DSP + FPGA structure, with powerful function and flexible operation, it is not restricted by the function or performance of the motion-ASIC chip, and available to modify parameters, customize, or expend function as required. The UWC4800 is supporting the online upgrade, which can perfectly meet the requirement of vision measuring, measuring system, automation or assembling devices.

 

Features

 

1. Advanced upper and lower machine structure, using DSP+FPGA structure.

 

2. Using 100M ethernet communication, offers fast communicating speed, 0.42-0.43 millisecond per signal, compatible of Windows 7 or 8 (32 bits and 64 bits).

 

3. 8 axis linear scale / encoder feedback components counting, supporting location matching trigger output and external input trigger latch.

 

4. 8 axis motion control, supporting difference and single-ended connection.

 

5. Pulse + direction close-loop control available, using the feedback components as mechanical coordinates system.

 

6. +10V close-loop control, using the feedback components as mechanical coordinates system.

 

7. Open-loop control available, using the pulse commands as mechanical coordinates system.

 

8. Close-loop motion control based on linear scale or encoders feedback, ensure the quick, precise and stable movement.

 

9. Motion control mode: GoHome, JOG, Point to point, multiple axis linear interpolation, 2 axis arc interpolation, joystick, TouchMove (probe touching point movement).

 

10. The linear scales or order coordinates counter are with position high speed matching output and latch input function, available for measure on the fly and laser blade scanning measurement function.

 

11. Including servo alarm detecting, servo enable and servo alarm elimination interface.

 

12. The controller is with 12 terminal general input and 10 terminal general output, which is able to be general input when not using the servo alarm detecting signal, or general output is not using the servo enable or servo alarm elimination.

 

13. The RS232 connector is able to connect to UWC348HS high speed IO module, which adds 24 terminal general input and 24 terminal general output. The IO module input and output status delay comparing to the UWC4800 is less than 1.4 millisecond.

 

14. 2 terminal 0-3.3V analog collecting function, 12 bits resolution, together with the preposition signal processing circuit, it can collect the physical signal such as pressure or temperature.

 

15. 2 terminal 0-100mA circuit (suction) output function, 12 bits resolution, able to control 2 section of LED group brightness. Together with the postposition signal processing circuit, it can control the frequency converter, proportional valve, or proportional pressure valve.

 

16. With 2 RS232 and 2 HSIO (High Speed IO ) connectors, available to connect to different processing module based on different requirement. For example HMI, auto zoom module, reading counter or joystick etc.

 

17. Embedded wit touch probe interface, it is available for Renishaw and Tesa full series touch probes and with auto stop, auto retreat, and auto searching workpiece and retreat function.

 

18. Smart and thin design, to save the space of the electric cabinet.

 

19. Online controller software system update function, users do not need to remove the controller from the device during the updating process.
