There are two popular constructions, 7X19 and 6X36. 6X36 provides a superior breaking load and is a more flexible wire rope, often achieving a greater longevity over the 7X19 construction. There is a wide range of safety hooks available depending upon your requirement. Quite often a customer will specify a standard eye type safety hook. However, the eye type swivel safety hooks  are now becoming increasingly popular with customers requiring additional quality.
