Intended use

The test kit is primarily for the in vitro quantitative determination of PGⅡ content in

human blood serum. Pepsinogen  (PG) is precursor of pepsin. According to distribution

and immunogenicity,  it is divided into PGⅡand PGⅡ. Most of gastric mucosa synthesis

pepsinogen are into stomach cavity and about 1% of pepsinogen are into blood.

The content of PG in serum reflects its secretion level and the level of serum PG reflects

the form and function of different parts of gastric mucosa. The correlation of PGⅡis larger

with gastric mucosal lesions (relative to the distal gastric mucosa). Its rising relates to

fundic gland atrophy, gastric metaplasia, pseudopyloric metaplasia and dysplasia. The

processive reducing of ratio PGⅠ/Ⅱ relates to gastric mucosal atrophy.

The ratio of PGⅠand PGⅡ(PGR) has the effect of "Serological biopsy" for gastric mucosa.

It is one of the effective ways for monitoring gastric mucosa lesion such as gastritis, gastric

ulcer and etc, estimating the process of atrophic gastritis.

Principle of the Procedure

The reagent is based on immunefluorescence sandwich assay to detect PGⅡ concentrations quantitatively. Using the pipette provided, drop diluted sample into the sample well. During testing, specimen reacts with the particles coated with anti- PGⅡ monoclonal antibody I which has conjugated with fluorescent latex. The mixture migrates upward on the nitrocellulose membrane by capillary action to react with anti- PGⅡ monoclonal antibody II on the test line. The intensity of fluorescent antibody signal reflects the amount of captured PGⅡ. Immunefluorescence quantitative analyzer produced by our company can detect the concentration of PGⅡ in the sample.

Clinical Significance

1.Atrophy of gastric fundus gland duct.

2.Intestinal metaplasia.

3.Pseudopyloric metaplasia.

4.Evaluation indicator of gastric cancer.

Advantage

1.High sensitivity:2ng/ml.

2.Overall evaluation: evaluate PGI and PGI/PGII.

3.Small sample size: 30ul (serum).

4.Wide linear range:2-70ng/ml.

Performance Analysis
