Harrow is a secondary tillage implement
that cuts the soil to a shallow depth for smoothening and pulverizing
the soil as well as to cut the weeds and to mix the materials with the
soil. Disc harrows are most widely-used harrow. They are tractor-driven and are raised either by a three-point lift or hydraulically by wheels.
Main components of disc harrows are notched disc blades. Disc blades are
perpendicular to the floor, and there is an adjustable inclination
angle between blades and direction of forward motion. During operations,
pulled by the tractor, disc harrows rolling on, disc blades cut the
grass roots and crop stubble. In this process, fertilizer and pesticide
are mixed together with soil. In general, according to configuration
form of disc gang, disc harrows can be classified into 3 kinds: Single
Action Disc Harrow, Tandem Disc Harrows, and Offset Disc Harrow.
Medium duty disc harrow consists of 2 types: 1BJX series mounted offset disc harrow, and 1BJ series hydraulic offset folding disc harrow.
Mounted Offset Medium Duty Disc Harrow when mounted on a tractor,
becomes a compact unit that can easily be manoeuvred into corners or on
short head lands. In addition, the implement being easily attached and
transportable in top speeds, little time is lost between the shed and
the field. Front disc gangs of 1BJX series mounted offset disc harrows
are assembled with notched disc blades, while the rear disc gang
adopting plain disc blades. The harrows use high-grade materials, with
good quality and long service life. The 1BJX series Middle-duty Disc
Harrow could be equipped with tractors with different horsepower (35HP
to 120HP ).
