Galfan wire (Zinc Aluminum coating wire) is a 95% Zinc + 5% Aluminum (+Mischmetal) eutectic alloy that exhibits remarkable coating corrosion resistance and adhesion ("formability"). The product provides the exceptional corrosion resistant properties by the combination of the passivation corrosion characteristics present with aluminum together with the sacrificial protection offered by the zinc content of the alloy.
