Split Type Residential Prepaid Water Meters Rf Communication Electronic Latched Valve
The CAW-R series is an upgraded type on the basis of CAW-C. It operates with STS (Standard Transfer Specification) standard and Radio wireless communications. The meter works with a low power bistable latched valve driven by battery and able to open and shut for 4 million times during battery lifespan. With CAW-C series you are assured of continuously good metrology and revenue protection at the same time. The electronic part of the meter is potted and sealed above on the metering chamber, away from the water, which makes the meter highly reliable.
The meter works with a customer interface unit(CIU) through RF wireless communication. The CIU is installed within customer’s home when the meter is installed in a meter cabinet away from the customer. The STS decryption takes place with the meter and the CIU provides a convenient interface to the customer. Information like token acceptance and rejection, credit status, historical usage data can be displayed with the LCD of the CIU.This split design makes the meter immune to any tamper and fraud on CIU side.
To top-up or recharge the water meter, a consumer just need to purchase 20 digits' credit token from the vendor and punch in the code with the CIU. With our broad range of prepaid vending solutions, a utility or service provider can manage CAW series water meter along with STS prepaid electricity meters in one vending system.
