Product Description

J Type Thermocouple Temperature Sensor With Flexible Armored Cable

Product Description:

Thermocouples are manufactured in many different configurations for multitude of applications. They normally work as a temperature sensor. They are used together with temperature displays and controls to detect and control the temperature of gas, liquid or solid surface. The working range is from -200ºC to 800ºC.

Type J (iron–constantan) has a more restricted range than type K (−40 to +750 °C), but higher sensitivity of about 55 µV/°C.[2] The Curie point of the iron (770 °C)[8] causes an abrupt change in the characteristic, which determines the upper temperature limit.

Specification:

J type thermocouple
wire meterial:metal
protect in flexible metal tube
wire length:1.5m
temp:0-600°c

Features of the flexible metal hose :

1. 300 series stainless steel construction
2. Naturally rust and corrosion resistant
3. Superior durability and strength
4. Smooth interior for easy wirepull-thru
4. Extremely flexible for easy installation
5. Built-in flexibility for simplified positioning
6. Excellent crush proof qualities
7. Will withstand approximately 750° F
8. Can be furnished stiff wound depending on end use application

Application:

Thermocouple with flexible armored cable feature a heavy duty stainless steel armor over the thermocouple wire. The armor protects the wire from mechanical damage. Armored thermocouples are well suited for industrial environments where an unprotected thermocouple may be cut or broken. An alternative to an armored thermocouple is an over braided thermocouple. The over braided thermocouple is more flexible than an armored cable but provides less resistance to abrasion.
