340mm diameter spherical roller bearing

Spherical roller bearings are produced in several designs, depending on bearing series and size. The differences as described in the following.

C(J), CC
Two window-type steel cages, flangeless inner ring and guide ring centred on the inner ring ( ).

EC(J), ECC(J)
Two window-type steel cages, flangeless inner ring, guide ring centred on the inner ring and reinforced roller complement ( ).

CA
One-piece machined brass cage, double-pronged, retaining flanges on the inner ring and guide ring centred on the inner ring ( ).

CAF
As CA, but with a steel cage.

ECA, ECAC
Reinforced roller complement, one-piece machined brass cage, double-pronged, retaining flanges on the inner ring, guide ring centred on the inner ring ( ).

ECAF
As ECA, but with a steel cage.

E
For bearings with a bore diameter d ≤ 65 mm:
Two pressed window-type steel cages, flangeless inner ring and guide ring centred on the inner ring ( fig).

Spherical Roller Bearings are designed to work in applications where severe misalignment exists whether from mounting or shaft deflection and with relatively heavy radial loads and some axial loads in either direction. 

Product sizes:

20000 series, 21000series, 22000 series, 23000 series, 24000 series.

They are also extremely resistant to shock loads and their self-aligning feature allows full capacity loading despite shaft deflection. They are very similar in purpose to Self-Aligning Double Row Ball Bearings, except the Spherical Roller Bearings are designed to be more robust by carry heavier loads but at lower maximum speeds. These bearings have barrel-shaped rollers between the inner ring, which has two raceways, and the outer ring which has one spherical raceway. They are self-aligning because the center of curvature of the outer ring raceway surface coincides with the bearing axis.
