Description:

Green silicon carbide, also named green carborundum, is made of quality silicon sand (SiO2), petroleum coke appended with salt smelted in high temperature electric arc furnace. It is green crystal structure with high hardness, strong cutting ability, stable chemical characteristics and good thermal conductivity. Its hardness is higher than corundum, and ranks below diamond and its mechanical strength is higher than corundum. The hardness of green silicon carbide is more higher than black silicon carbide.

 

Light weight and high hardness (Moh's hardness:9.5), stable chemical characteristics(very low chemical activity), small thermal expansion coefficient, super performance of wear-resisting, all of these features make green silicon carbide have large range of application, such as:
