Life raft

Structure

3, strength

Using method

General requirements for life raft
1, construct of life raft, it can withstand exposure in all conditions to float up to 30 days;
2. The structure of life raft should be put into the water from the height of 18m, and the use of it can be satisfied;
3, under the roof support and without support, the floating raft can stand from the bottom of raft above at least 4.5m height repeated jumping board;
4, when the life raft load foot all occupants and is down and a sea anchor and liferaft should be in the calm water to 3 kn speed to be towed.
5, the life raft with protect occupants from exposure canopy. The canopy automatically support after raft landing and to surface of water, and rainwater collection facilities;
6, liferaft should be set 1 bow cable, its length should be not less than from the storage to the lightest seagoing waterline distance of 2 times or 15m, whichever is the greater.
7, each life raft should be equipped with requirement fittings;
8, the life raft should also set free floating device.
The storage of life raft should be able to manual release when the raft is free from securing device. Each liferaft storage shall be provided free floating device, so that each life raft free floating, and if is inflatable when sinking ship can automatically inflate. There should be no deck covering above the storage place of life raft, so as to avoid the free float of life raft when ship is sinking.
Unless certain transfer facilities are set up, the life raft should be kept in the range of hook, and the arrangement should enable all passengers to board raft quickly.
For throwing outboard landing raft storage, should be able to easily transfer to ship any shipboard landing, otherwise it should increase the total capacity per port for use in accordance with the provisions.
