Description
- Using steel nail penetrating the battery, the tester is used to check safety capability of battery, and the battery is qualified without fire, and explosion.
- The nail penetrating test is processed under temperature of 20±5.
- The specimen battery has thermocouple whose contact spot is located on the largest surface.
- Place the battery on the fuming cupboard, using stainless nail with diameter of 2-8mm to penetrate the centre position of largest side of battery at speed of 10mm/s-40mm/s and keep for 5s.
- Test result: the battery is qualified without fire and explosion.
