Reagglomerated activated carbon active carbon activated charcoal
This activated carbon is made from select grades of bituminous coal through a process of reagglomeration. It produce a high activity, durable, granular activated carbon capable of withstanding the abrasion associated with repeated backwashing, hydraulic transport, and reactivation for reuse.
These activated carbon products improve the quality of drinking water by removing the following:
Taste and odour components, such as 2-Methylisoborneol (MIB) and geosmin
Pesticides and their metabolites (e.g. metolachlor ESA and OXA)
Organic matter (TOC) and disinfection by-products precursors (DBPs)
Algae toxins (cyanotoxins), such as microcystins
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
Endocrine disrupting compounds (EDC) and micropollutants
