Description:

 

Structure:

For spring type rail clamp, the driving force is the spring. That driving force makes the rail clamp work through the beam, connecting rod, clamp, grip finger.

 

Performance:   

    Rail clamp circuit is connected with equipment circuit. It means that equipment could run after the grip finger totally open.

      If the clamp on the steel rail is too tight, we need to first switch off the oil bump motor and magnetic valve supply, which makes the pressure oil backflow to oil box, and connected circuit cut off the motor electricity of equipment at the same time. Then we need to properly adjust the throttle valve in the hydraulic unit which is next to pressure gauge connector. Adjust throttle valve to clockwise direction makes backflow slow down. Adjust throttle valve to anti-clockwise direction makes backflow speed up. 8-15 seconds is the usual clamp time (set up well before delivery).

  Open rail clamp rely on itself hydraulic system. Working way: Before equipment travels, we could only open the power supply of rail clamp for the bump motor, magnetic valve and travel switch. In this way, the pressure oil could go into the front of oil cylinder, and push the plunge, then compress spring to make grip finger open. After the grip finger totally open, the travel switch cut off bump motor supply,(now still keep magnetic valve switch on ), at the same time, switch on equipment travel motor circuit, then equipment can travel. When oil bump switch off, hydraulic system can make the grip finger open because of pressure maintaining by one-way valve and magnetic valve.

We must ensure that equipment stops before clamp touch the steel rail, which means clamp rail can not clamp the equipment when equipment is moving, otherwise, clamp rail and steel rail will be damaged.

    Hydraulic system has internal leakage. Clamp open degree would reduce after some time. If it reduces to certain degree, travel switch will cut off the electricity of time relay and connected oil bump motor. When motor of oil bump power on, oil will soon make up oil cylinder and then clamp will recover entirely open. At this time, travel switch will cut off oil bump motor electricity and connect the electricity of time relay. During this process, because  time relay have delayed function, relay K5 for equipment still power on, and equipment will run well.    

 

 

Applications:

 

Rail clamp is a safety device to prevent free mechanic movement on the rail direction. Rail clamp is used for rail-mounted crane, e.g. large goods yard, bucket wheel machine, stacker-reclaimer, overhead and gantry crane, etc. Rail clamp could prevent wind and defense external impact force on those equipments.

When equipment stops traveling, rail clamp will automatically clamp and hold the steel rail so that equipment will not run out by wind. When equipment travels, hydraulic device will make rail clamp open so that equipment could run successfully.
