Description:

The plant’s a low pressure process of employing molecular sieve to adsorb, employing expander to refrigerate, and pressure nitrogen going out of column directly, by which air separated to produce high purity nitrogen.

The feed air is primarily process by compressor, pre-cooler and molecular sieve, then goes into fractionating column, and exchange heat with refluxed waste nitrogen and product nitrogen through main heat exchanger; after being cooled, it goes into the bottom of fractionating column to be separated into product nitrogen gas and oxygen-rich liquid air through fractionation. The oxygen-rich liquid air is subcooled and throttled to condenser evaporator to exchange heat with nitrogen gas. The nitrogen is liquefied and as the refluxed liquid of fractionating column.

The waste nitrogen extracted from the top of condenser evaporator is rewarmed through subcooler and main heat exchanger, and then it is insulation expanded to 0.038MPa by expander for compensating cold capacity to the plant. The product nitrogen gas extracted from the top of fractionating column is rewarmed by main heat exchanger and sent to the pipelines at the pressure of 0.65MPa.

The liquid nitrogen product goes back to the lower column from the condenser evaporator, and then it is extracted from the pipes of lower column to be sent to the storage tank.
