Description:

 

       This plant owns a low pressure process, by which air separated to produce high purity nitrogen, that is using molecular sieve to adsorb, using expander for refrigeration, and pressure nitrogen goes out of column directly,.

       The air from outdoor is filtered by filter, compressed by compressor, and first cooled to 40 by the after-cooler, secondly cooled to 5 by pre-cooler, and then goes into molecular sieve to remove the hydrocarbons like H2O, CO2 and C2H2. The MS adsorber works switchover, one for adsorption, and another for regeneration, and the regeneration gas is refluxed waste nitrogen form fractionating column.

       The purified air flows into fractionating column to exchange heat with refluxed waste nitrogen and product nitrogen in main heat exchanger, and then flows into the bottom of fractionating column to be separated into product nitrogen gas and oxygen enriched liquid air with fractionation after being cooled. The oxygen enriched liquid air is sub-cooled and throttled to condenser evaporator to exchange heat with nitrogen gas. The nitrogen is liquefied and becomes the refluxed liquid for fractionating column.

       The waste nitrogen led out from the top of condenser evaporator is re-warmed in sub-cooler and main heat exchanger, then insulation expanded to 0.038MPa with expander for supplying cold capacity to the plant. The product nitrogen gas drawn from the top of fractionating column is re-warmed in main heat exchanger and sent to the pipelines at the pressure of 0.7MPa.

       The liquid nitrogen product goes back to the lower column pipelines from the condenser evaporator, and then it is drawn to storage tank.
