Description:
The proposed plant employs a process in which air is purified by molecular sieve and refrigerated by boosting turbine expander; fractionating column is convection sieve trays column. The feed air is cleaned of dust and mechanical impurities in air filter AF and compressed to a certain pressure by air compressor. The compressed air goes into air pre-cooling system for being cooled to saturated state, and then goes into switchover molecular sieve adsorber MS where the impurities such as moisture, CO2 and C2H2 are adsorbed. The purified air is divided into three streams: one stream is drawn out to be instrument air; the second stream enters main heat exchanger to be cooled to the saturated temperature by refluxed gas and then goes into the lower column; the remainder similar with swelling capacity goes into booster to be boosted, and then goes into main heat exchanger after being cooled, then it is drawn out of the middle portion to expander, the expanded air goes into lower column. After preliminary rectification in lower column, the liquid air is obtained at the bottom of lower column and the liquid nitrogen is obtained at the top. Liquid air and liquid nitrogen drawn from lower column go into liquid air/liquid nitrogen sub-cooler to be sub-cooled and then it goes into relevant position of upper column. Following further rectification, obtain liquid oxygen. The waste nitrogen gas drawn from the top of upper column which is re-warmed in sub-cooler and main heat exchanger goes out of cold box, and it is discharged after meeting the need as the gas for regeneration of molecular sieve first.
