Description

A high-temperature heat pump in compact design using the compression principle with solution cycle is described with respect to its lay-out, operating conditions and energy consumption. In the closed cycle ammonia-water is used as working pair. The installed plant of more than 500 kW heat capacity can be loaded at different temperatures for heat source (20…60°C) and heat sink (60…150°C) to demonstrate its function, operating and partial load behavior. First test-run results and experiences will be reported.
