PC strand, also called PC steel strand, is twisted by several PC wires. It can be classified into uncoated PC strand, epoxy coated PC strand, galvanized PC strand, etc. PC strand is a high tensile and low relaxation strand which has wide range of uses, such as prefabricated concrete elements, typical post-tensioning projects and off-shore constructions. At the same time, our PC strand is available in several different thicknesses, different structures, different surface treatment and so on. All can be produced according to the customers' special requirements.
Specification
Common sizes: 9.3 mm - 21.6 mm.
Raw materials: high carbon steel wire rods, SWRH 82B/77B.
Structure: 1 × 2, 1 × 3, 1 × 7, 1 × 19, etc.
Surface treatment: uncoated, epoxy coated PC strand, galvanized PC strand.
Tensile strength: 1470 MPa - 1960 MPa.
Processing: continuous drawing by means of big reduction of area, twist, stabilizing treatment.
Standards: GB/T 5224, ASTM A416, BS 5896, JIS G3536, ISO 6934 or the standards agreed by both of the customers and us.
Features
Our PC strand production process has strict quality and lots of advantages:
Higher fatigue, higher breaking loads, higher corrosion resistance.
Increasing the abrasion resistance, water resistance, stiffness.
Better performance at elevated temperature.
High tensile strength and low relaxation.
Stable modulus of elasticity.
High bonding force.
Reducing distortion and construction weight.
Saving material.
Applications
Concrete structures: foundations, silos, dams, large concrete vessels, etc.
Roads and bridge structures: large-span railway and bridges, the construction of highways, etc.
Building structures: buildings, atomic reactor buildings, stadiums, multi-storey industrial buildings, floor slabs, etc.
Civil construction: poles, water towers, water control projects, etc.
Other uses: airport hangers, crane beams, anchorages, sea transportation of energy sources, rock and earth anchoring components to increase the tensile force, etc.
