Foam Base
Are you interested in having a Styrofoam base for your above ground pool ?
I so, please take a cue from some of real experience we have had as stated below.
The true & trial sizes of Styrofoam that seems to work best are either 1" – 1 1/2".
They are in 4'x8' sheets. Its best to lay out as many full sheets as possible & having them all taped together with a couple layers of duct tape & them have the fun part of fitting all the small pieces into place. Whatever the little pieces & scraps that clutter up the inside of the pool can be pushed to the outside & use for filling gaps between the cuts & the wall.
Foam Tip
Lay all the panels& in the drive or someplace equally flat & solid Take the pieces together to make sure you have more than enough coverage in all directions.
Take time to go in your pool to figure out the precise radius o your pool, once completed, its radius could vary by a few inches either way.
To be exact go in the pool & pinpoint the center& then measure its radius.
Once above mentioned procedures accomplished.
It's time to get back to your foam in the drive, mark the center point & mark the radius, use a razor knife to make a nice clean cut making a complete round circle, mumber all your foam pcs, undo the tape& more them all to the pool.
Carefully reassemble all the pcs. You'll get a perfect circle that will perfectly fit your pool.
