Design Story

Billy Wider, a friend of Charles and Ray Eames, who is also the director of "Some like it hot" and "Sunset Blvd", made a wooden plank contraption for taking naps. This led to the Eames' great design, they made the lounge chair and ottoman as a gift for Billy.

The seat cushions are contoured high back provides for comfortable seating. From the Top Grain Leather and die cast aluminum base to the 7 layer real wooden shell no detail has been overlooked. You can own your very own version of the original made by hand using the highest quality materials in a variety of finishes. The price and features of this exacting reproduction are second to none.

-       Wooden shell features 7 ply's of cross grain plywood

-       Natural and deep tufting around the button, like the original style. 

-       Aluminum Cast base and back braces with high polished bright aluminum trim

-       Multi density foam for softness and resistance. Wrapped with dacron, 45 density as first layer, 35 density as second layer. 

-       A variety of leather for your choose: PU / Chinese leather / Italian leather / aniline leather, cater to different customers' different budget.

-       A variety of wood shell for your choose: ash wood / white ash wood / rosewood / light rosewood / walnut / wenge / palisander / light palisander / white panel / black panel
