Testing The Stay Away Mat
1. Pressing the power switch until the power indicator light keeps lighting.
2. Touch the Stay Away Mat with the side of your hand, rather than your sensitive fingertips, to test its operation.
3. Once the Stay Away Mat senses your touch, its action BB sound, and sends static pulses to the Stay Away Mat for 3 seconds, you will feel the pulses if you leave your hand touching across 2 wires.
4. If only the pet step on the Stay Away Mat ,touch the wire with its legs, will cause the static pulses.
TRAINING MODES
The Stay Away Mat offers three training modes:
1.Low Static Simulation.
2.Middle Static Stimulation.
3.High Static Stimulation..
When you change the battery the Stay Away Mat remembers the last training mode used. To change modes, momentarily press and release the pushbutton switch. The LED will light to indicate the selected training mode.
TRAINING GUIDE
Allow your pets to roam and discover their new boundaries, since all pets are different, it may take several encounters before they understand and respect the mat. For some pets this can take a few days.
During this learning phase, choose the "Low Static Stimulation" setting. DO NOT FORCE your pet onto the mat otherwise your pet may associate your actions with the stimulation rather than with the Stay Away Mat. Your pet must learn to associate the Stay Away Mat with the unpleasant stimulation.
