1. Introduction
The testing machine is to measure compression stress, compression strain, thickness decrease rate, static compression residual strain of soft and hard packaing cushioning material with shape of bulk, schistose, threadiness, granularity, etc.
2. Test steps
First test method:
1) Measure thickness of cushioning material sample as original thickness.
2) Load to the cushioning material sample at the rate of 12mm/min with a compression testing machine. Software of compression testing machine auto draw the comrpession stress-compression strain curve.
3) Stop test when compression force increase rapidly. Then release load for 3 minutes. load a force 0.2kPa±0.02kPa to the sample for 30 seconds and measure the thickness of cushioning material sample under load as thickness after compression test. Software will auto calculate compression stress, compression strain, thickness decrease rate, static compression residual strain of the sample.
Second test method
1) Measure thickness of cushioning material sample as original thickness.
2) Load to the cushioning material for 10 times at the load relating to 20% thickness deformation.then release load for 3 minutes. load a force 0.2kPa±0.02kPa to the sample for 30 seconds and measure the thickness of cushioning material sample under load as pre-compression thickness.
3) Load to the cushioning material sample at the rate of 12mm/min with a compression testing machine. Software of compression testing machine auto draw the comrpession stress-compression strain curve.
4) Stop test when compression force increase rapidly. Then release load for 3 minutes. load a force 0.2kPa±0.02kPa to the sample for 30 seconds and measure the thickness of cushioning material sample under load as thickness after compression test. Software will auto calculate compression stress, compression strain, thickness decrease rate, static compression residual strain of the sample.
