Description:

 

        Box beam and column electroslag welder machine is a special equipment for box column baffle welding, which adopts baffle , surround steel plate welding hard in vertical slag welding way. According to customer's different requirement, these are two ways of box column slag welding: fuse and fuse tip. Welding speed of fuse slag welding is faster and lower welding cost, but higher equipment cost, more complicate control system ;fuse tip slag welding is lower equipment cost and simple operation, but the welding effenciency is lower than fuse slag welding. Fuse slag welding is suitable for big quantity box column prodction, while tip slag welding id suitable for small quantity.

 

 

Specifications:

 

a. Structure principle

        Cantilever box beam and column electroslag welder machine is the main device in Box-beam welding production line. It is a special machine for welding the seams between baffle plate and bottom plate. There are two kinds of welding types for Box-beam baffle plate electro-slag welding: nozzle melt and wire melt.

        Nozzle melt is a kind of electro-slag welding that melts the contact tube (nozzle) and welding wire together. The contact tube will stay while welding wire is fed when welding. Actually, contact tube comes to be a part of welding wire. Features for nozzle melt electro-slag welding:

Electro-slag welding part has a simple structure. Its welding power often comes from our country, so the cost will be low.

There’s welding flux covering the contact tube. It will join the process of melting the metal, and improve the organizational structure of metal in welding seam.

The contact tube will be melt with wire, so it is expendable, the cost will be high, and different sizes of Box-beam needs different contact tubes.

Using φ2.4mm welding wire, welding speed is slower than wire melt type.

        Wire melt electro-slag welding adopts special contact tube. When welding wire is fed the contact tube will be lifted. Features for wire melt electro-slag welding:

        Because the contact tube will be lifted when welding, electro-slag welding part’s structure will be complex, so as the contact tube. Its welding power often uses American Lincoln welding machine, so this cost is higher than nozzle melt type.

        The contact tube won’t melt when welding, it can be recycled, so the cost will reduce.

        Using φ1.6mm thin welding wire, current density is larger, and wire melting speed is faster, so the welding efficiency will be improved.

 

b. Structure of cantilever electro-slag welding machine

Though this machine has two kinds of types, their frame’s structure is almost the same. They are mainly made up of moving cart, stand column, lifting device, lifting slider, transverse arm and tool carriage.

The moving cart is combined by base, four moving wheels, two driving axles, and two motors. The four moving wheels run together with two motors by using gear. This four-wheel driving system can make the machine moving stably.

The stand column has a welded rectangle pipe structure. There’re guide rails on its two sides, so transverse arm can move up and down on it.

        Lifting device is fixed on stand column. It is made up of motor reducer, shaft block, screw rod and screw. The screw is connected to lifting slider, and it can drive lifting slider and transverse arm to move up and down.

        The lifting slider is a transition part for stand column and transverse arm. Its four guiding wheels are connected to stand column. The transverse arm is fixed tightly on lifting slider by bolts.

        Transverse arm’s structure is rectangle pipe, which is light and has high rigidity. There is guiding rail on transverse arm, so the tool carriage can move on it horizontally.

        The tool carriage is connected to transverse arm by four guiding wheels. It can fix the feeding device of nozzle melt (or wire melt) electro-slag welding machine.

 

c. Configuration for nozzle melt electro-slag welding machine

2 sets of welding power: Chengdu Zhenzhong ZH-1250 (including wire feeding system, fine adjustment device and control box)

Contact tube (consumable nozzle): its spec. specification is φ8, φ10 and φ12. Its length will be decided by Box-beam’s section size.

 

d. Configuration for wire melt electro-slag welding machine

2 sets of welding power: America Lincoln DC-600 (including wire feeding system)

2 sets of lifting device: Hangzhou FSA-SESW-I (including lifting mechanism, contact tube, welding oscillator, control box and cooling water box)
