Helicopter Stringing Pulleys for Pilot Rope

Helicopters are widely in construction of overhead transmission Lines now. Most of western countries have used helicopters for assembly of steel towers, transmission line stringing, and transmission line inspection and maintenance.

As the leading manufacture of power line stringing equipment and tools in China, Ningbo Dongfang started design and manufacture helicopter stringing tools from 1998. Cooperated with National Power Company and institute, we carried first helicopter stringing operation (test) in the west of China in 2001. We designed and manufactured single sheave, three sheaves and five sheaves helicopter stringing blocks with different structures. 1. Single Sheave Helicopter (Conductor) Stringing Blocks with fly attachment

Single Sheave Helicopter Stringing Blocks are used for overhead line single conductor or OPGW stringing operation with pilot fly arms. All the helicopter blocks are incorporated with a helicopter arm and specially designed pilot rope slide in system. Normally it is spring controlled or wheel controlled mechanical system. The helicopter blocks can be used for modern helicopter installation of conductor or Optic fiber cables.

Application: It is suitable to string stranded aluminum and ACSR conductors on tangent structures. Compression sleeves, swivel connectors, and pulling rope connectors can pass through the groove. The sheave is made in aluminum alloy or high strength nylon. The big size 508mm, 660mm aluminum alloy sheave can be lined with neoprene. The big size 660mm, 822mm, 916mm, 1040mm nylon sheave can be lined with neoprene.

Application: It is suitable to string FOUR or FIVE stranded aluminum and ACSR conductors on tangent structures. Compression sleeves, swivel connectors, and pulling rope connectors can pass through the groove. The sheave is made in aluminum alloy or high strength nylon. The big size 508mm, 660mm aluminum alloy sheave can be lined with neoprene. The big size 660mm, 822mm, 916mm, 1040mm nylon sheave can be lined with neoprene.

The central sheave is specially strengthened for passage of pilot wire rope.
