Tools and equipment shall conform to IEEE 524, Guide to the Installation of Overhead
Transmission Line Conductors generally described hereunder, or other internationally
recognised transmission line stringing guides or standards as may be agreed and approved
by the Project Manager. The stringing equipment shall be suitable for the tension stringing
method as outlined in IEEE 524.

All the conductor sheaves are made of high strength nylon, the central sheave is specially designed with high strength, it is good for passing both of pilot steel wire rope and conductors.

Application: The Head board is used for pulling 4 bundled conductors.
The whole set is included one of 18 ton head swivels (connected with pilot steel wire rope ) and four of 5 ton swivel joints(connected with conductor grips).

Anti twisting steel rope is specially braided from high strength, high flexible galvanized steel wire. The braided steel strand has high flexibility, complete stability to rotation under tension force. The wire rope is lubricated for long time usage.
It can homogeneously distribute the pressure between the elementary wires. The special rope can increase efficiency during the overhead transmission line stringing work. The rope is packed in steel drum which can be installed directly on the reel winder of puller.
TEST OF STRINGING EQUIPMENTS ON TEST SITE
Drum pullers are usually rated by output torque. This output torque rating should be converted to maximum linepull at the diameter of the pulling rope on the drum when the drum is fully wound with the rope.
Bullwheel pullers are usually rated according to the maximum linepull that can be accomplished at a lower stringing speed, normally rated at approximately 2,5 km/h, while the maximum operating speed is normally rated at approximately 5 km/h.
The puller size chosen for any particular project shall take into account the stringing tension per conductor and the number of conductors per phase to be pulled at one time, which determine the total stringing tension value, and the length and the path of the pull section, which determine how much the total tension value has to be incremented to be able to pull the line. It is recommended to choose a puller with at least 20 % to 25 % overcapacity with respect to the expected pulling line, to grant the ability to properly manage unexpected overload on the line that may arise for any reason (see also 6.3.2.2).
