CHROMIC CATGUT
We offer superior quality "chromic catgut sutures" for different surgical procedures.
These are generally used in soft tissue approximation and/or ligation. It is an
absorbable sterile surgical suture composed of purified connective tissues derived
from the sub mucosal fibrous layer of ovine intestines. Chromic catgut is absorbed by
proteolytic enzymes in body. Chromic catgut is treated with chromic salt solution to
resist body enzymes, thereby prolonging the absorption time over 90 days.
