Application of Plastic Elongational Stress Tester
Plastic Elongational Stress Tester is designed to determine the elongational stress of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (PE-UHMM) molding and extrusion materials. The elongational stress is an characterization of the melt viscosity of PE-UHMW moulding powder whose melt flow rate cannot be determined by the method specified in ISO 1133 because of its extremely high molecular weight.
The tensile stress is an indicator of the tensile stress of rubber material, which is defined as the amount of load in the unit sectional area required to stretch the specimen to a given length. The elongational stress is a characterization of the melt viscosity of PE-UHMW moulding powder.
