The Malibu Soft Top is the perfect SUP for first time riders looking for a complete starter package. Based on the 11'0" Big EZ Hawaiian for it stability, ease of use and maneuverability, the Malibu Soft Top SUP adds a padded surface and supple plastic bottom that is resistant to blunt impacts from paddles, rocks & falls. The fin is tough, flexible plastic so that it can bend without breaking and stay on the board even after running aground; the built in fin box is a standard 10" box that will accept any fiberglass fin if desired. It also has a center mounted carry handle for easy pick up. Because of its durability, it can be dropped, abused & neglected much longer than the average SUP and still provide reliable use. It is a great board for running down rivers and small rapids, places that might not be suitable for epoxy construction.
This board is good for a first time rider up to 260 lbs. The round nose, full rails, square tail, flat bottom and moderate rocker keep the board buoyant and stable. The Malibu glides easily on a forward stroke and turns naturally when stepping the tail or pivoting.
