BTS4000 is based on Neware 4th-generation testing system, and was introduced into the market in 2008. It's the upgrade version of the most popular battery test equipment series of BTS3000.

BTS4000 applies all the applications of BTS3000, plus EV battery pulse test, HPPC test and DCIR (direct current internal resistance) test.

BTS4000 for DCIR test

DCIR or d.c. resistance is another key parameter to know a battery's quality ( self-discharge, power characteristic, state of health). DCIR test is usually brought out in short time. So tester's capability is critical to the testing result.

In summary, response time, timing control and data acquisition frequency are the three main key parameters taken into account.

Response time: BTS4000 responses set current in less than 10 milliseconds.

Timing control: BTS4000 has an accurate timing control, rendering accurate executing time as set.

Data Acquisition Frequency: BTS4000 enables a highest data acquisition frequency of 100Hz.

In 10 seconds, 1000 groups of data were acquired. Above red-circled data points may be applied for a DCR calculation due to low data acquisition frequency.

A better repeatability of BTS4000 is presented by below single value chart.


BTS4000 for HPPC test

According to the test situation mentioned in the manual, BTS4000 enables you record data for those pulses at high frequency and for rest at a relative low frequency without generating many unnecessary data. And DCIR value is easily handled by marking the DCIR records

Or setting the DCIR conditions, as shown in the following image. And by collapsing the data, showing you the first and the last record of the rest step, you can easily navigate to the target record and calculate pulse power value. An automatically pulse power calculation is also under designing now.
