The Glides are built for downwinders and will be substantially faster than your average 11'6-12'6 boards even on flatwater – but the Javelin is purpose built for speed on flatwater and will take on the Glides with ease. The Javelin is not designed to replace the Glides as the Glides will cope with swell and runners much better and are dedicated long-distance/downwind boards.
