Why is insulation compatible downlight necessary in the ceiling?
Building regulations require that insulation material is laid unbroken over the whole ceiling area to avoid heat loss through gaps in the insulation.
This means that insulation cannot be cleared away from LED driver in spaces such as loft and top storey.
The normal LED driver can not survive in the insulation due to temperatures generated by the driver itself, which results in overheating.
