Our Production Process:

Magnesium Alloy Plate(sheet) is produced by process semi-casting and hot rolling with tons rolling machine. 

Semi-casting is through using vertical casting and is colded by constant temperature well water under around during casting processing. Making casting completedly slabs(billets) have very small grain and very tight spacing between grain and grain.

Ensuring perfect inner quality.This point can be verified that we used Inspection method for macrostructure of wrought magnesium alloy products. 

We produce magnesium alloy plate conforms to MIL-T-38749(USAF) Standard. 

Normal mention to Magnesium Tooling Plate is pointed magnesium alloy hot rolling plate which is through heating treament state H24, H26,O. 

So AZ31B H24 magnesium alloy plate is also called Magnesium Tooling Plate.  

Have a perfect flatness and good surface with moderate strength and ductility.

Magnesium alloy plate with a small specific gravity, high intensity , high wear-resisting performance, has some of the corrosion resistance and resistance to radiation performance, good chemical stability against the alkali and mineral,and good weldability and workability.

•  Weldability

Excellent weldability with gas shielded arc using AZ61A (preferred) or AZ92A filler rod; post weld stress relief is required to prevent stress corrosion cracking. Resistance welding is excellent.

 

•  Machining

AZ31B, like all magnesium alloy plate and sheet, machines faster than any other metal. Providing the geometry of the part allows, the limiting factor is the power and speed of the machine rather than the quality of the tool material. The power required per cubic centimeter of metal removed varies from 9 to 14 watts per minute depending on machining operation.

Weight for weight, AZ31B-H24 has proven to be superior to competitive materials in its resistance to denting at moderate energy levels.

•  Surface Treatment

All the normal chromating, anodizing, plating, and finishing treatment are readily applicable. AZ31B also responds well to plasma electrolytic oxidation finishing.

 

 

 

 

Application

Nowadays, magnesium alloy hot plate is applied in auto, air, 3C (computer, communication, consumer electronics.)Which is used mobile phone coat, car coat and airplane that make mobile and car thinner and thinner.


In terms of auto, under the request of energy saving and environment protection,the lightweight materials is best solution to reduce gasoline consumption and exhaust gas discharging.

 

Diverse uses including aerospace, aircraft, concrete tools, 3C (cell phone / camera / computer), speaker cones and textile machinery can all benefit from light weight AZ31B.

 

AZ31B hot plate is non-magnetic and has high electrical and thermal conductivity filling the requirements for RFI and EMI shielding in the electronics and computer industries.

 

Superplastic forming of AZ31B hot plate at elevated temperatures allows production of a wide variety of intricate parts for automotive uses.
