Spiral wound gaskets are made by winding V-sharp metal strips and soft filler material such as flexible graphite, non asbestos or PTFE. Ideal for standard flanges, heat exchangers, boiler handholes, manholes and other high temperature, high pressure applications.
Maximum operating temperatures of facing materials
Compressed non-asbestos fibre: 500°C
Flexible graphite (oxiding media): 500°C.
Flexible graphite (inert/reducing media): 600°C.
Flexible graphite (steam): 650°C.
PTFE: 260°C.
Operating pressure: 350bar

Standard materials: Stainless steels 304(L), 316(L).
Other materials: Stainless steels 310, 320, 321. Monel, Nickel, Inconel
Outer and Inner rings
Standard material: Carbon steel.
