Self-aligning ball bearings

Outer ring raceway of self-aligning ball bearings forms a spherical surface whose center is common to the bearing center
Inner ring of the bearing has two raceways
Balls, cage and inner ring of them are capable of shifting to compensate for a certain degree of misalignment with the outer ring
Able to align itself and compensate for shaft/housing finishing unevenness, bearing fitting error and other sources of maligning
Types of cylindrical bore and tapered bore are available
Pressed cages are generally used in deep groove ball bearings;machined cages are used for large bearings and high-speed bearings
